THE WIZARD WILKINS WINS POINT AT MINETY ON THE ROAD

Tavs travelled to Badminton for a top of the table showdown with Minety

Tavs for the second week in a row started the game well off of the pace however one of the best chances in the early stages fell to Simon Lloyd-Jones who found enough space to force a acrobatic save from the goalkeeper after Myles Marklove rolled the ball back to him just inside the Penalty box.

Tavs then spent a long period of the game chasing shadows and were unable to make the right decisions when they had the ball, the pressure from Minety became to much when the striker outpaced the defence to a ball over the top and put the ball into the back of the net.

Tavs worries soon doubled as the Minety striker found himself unmarked on the penalty spot with enough time to find the Net, Tavs were struggling to get a hold of the game and were finding it a ongoing task coping with waves of attacks.

Halftime 2-0 Minety

Tavs came out the second half some what brighter after some honest truths were mentioned by Boss Mark Harsant however it took Harsant himself to point Tavs in the right direction after he subbed himself on and scored within 5 minutes. he was unfortunate not to get a second when his superb volley was cancelled out by a equally fine save.

Despite this Tavs found themselves 3-1 down when the Minety Striker found himself with enough space to shoot into the goal.

In True Tavs spirit the team never gave up and some direct running from Jonty O'Leary created some space for Dean Neale to cross the ball for Harley Hudd to put the ball in the back of the net at the far post.

With 10 minutes to go and both teams tiring it was Tavs youth who came out on top and were awarded with a free kick just outside of the Minety penalty box in the dying moments of the game after Harley Hudd was brought down. Tavs Captain stood up to take the freekick with only one thing in his mind and unleashed a absolute beauty of a shot into the top corner of the goal which sent the travelling Tavs faithful into oblivion on the sidelines.

Special shout out to Player Of The Match Connor Wilkins who kept Tavs in the game with some fine goalkeeping.

Full Time 3-3
